I don't know whether you watch Olbermann regularly, but he's one of my favorite political pundits. His "Special Comments" are compelling and brilliant (if you're a liberal, of course). Last Christmas, MSNBC aired a "best of Special Comments" special, and I couldn't tear my eyes away from the screen for the entire hour. His comments on the five year anniversary of 9/11 brought a tear to my eye. Olbermann is thorough and passionate and at his his best in these segments.

Aside from the brilliant Special Comments, lately he has taken the direction of his show to a higher level of anti-administration rhetoric and cartoonishness, which I'm not sure I've bought into yet. He's sounding less and less New York Times and more and more like all of the other political blowhards on cable TV. He has been hamming it up a little more than he used to, and you can frequently hear crew members laughing at his one-liners from off-camera. Also, his "Worse-Worser-Worst Person in the World" segments have become foolish and nothing more than cheap shots at Bill O'Reilly and "Fox Noise." He doesn't need to lower himself to that standard. He's so much better than that.
