Jean-Luc, 1994-2007

From Critters
I am in grief. My boy passed away this morning. But I take solace in the fact that he wasn't expected to survive much into 2007, yet he blessed me for this long. He was a fighter. Thank you, Jean-Luc, for your companionship and love. He was as good as they come.

Thanks to all who have written me, here or otherwise. Whether or not you're an animal-lover, I know you understand how painful it is to lose a living creature that's been in your care. Knowing he had been sick, I was mentally prepared for Jean-Luc's passing, but you're never *really* ready. I'm good now, though. Just hurts the most that first day; it was so quiet in the house (Jean-Luc was a talker and would meow a lot).
